Good governance

The Stellenbosch Community Development Programme (SCDP) is run on a sound business footing.

The SCDP has brief strategic and operational plans. Major monthly, weekly and daily objectives provide a system of monitoring incremental execution. The team is action oriented and team members accept responsibility and accountability for their work terrains.

Monthly coaching by Albert van Niekerk has trained the staff in leadership and management, in planning and execution, areas in which they previously had no experience.

We believe in proper accountability and provide reports to donors, parents and to two schools which our children attend.

A qualified bookkeeper, Yvonne de Wet, does our books each month as a volunteer.

The internationally-known firm, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, audits our accounts, free of charge.
